“Students for St. Baldrick’s” is a club that will be a conduit for Michigan State University (MSU) to help students raise funds to support childhood cancer research.  Childhood cancer is the number 1 disease killer of children.  Through the efforts of “Students for St. Baldrick’s” we hope to make MSU and the city of East Lansing a place where all residents, students, staff, faculty and alumni are aware of the challenges children with cancer face and why childhood cancer research should be a top priority for funding.  Childhood cancer receives far less research funding than adult cancers from both the National Cancer Institute and the pharmaceutical industry. Supporting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation through “Students for St. Baldrick’s” will ensure more research dollars are dedicated to funding cures and less toxic treatments for this most vulnerable group.
